Video for BP Target Neutral / Bullitt

BP VIDEO SHORTLISTED FOR AWARD: The film we made for BP’s Target Neutral project, through agency Bullitt, was shortlisted for the first Deauville Festival of Green Films. We worked with BP’s climate experts to get the message straight, wrote the script, and devised an innovative format using home-made miniature power-station, town, bike, car, farm and forest. Throw in the brilliant presenting skills of Adam Hart-Davis, and you have a quirky film that explains carbon offsetting for the first time. See it on the front page at BP Target Neutral

Bullitt approached us because they liked our way of explaining complex things, simply. Once presenter Adam Hart-Davis was on board, we came up with the idea of using a ‘model world’, quirky home-made miniatures of working power-stations, bicycles etc.. The longest process was developing a script. Producer Director Paul Bader worked with BP’s experts to develop a story that would be engaging, but not leave out anything important. Paul’s scripts were checked by an independent panel of experts.

Then we commissioned the brilliant Tod Todeschini to make the props, including smoking chimneys, rolling road, and burning fart gas. The shoot and edit were fairly straightforward - because Screenhouse and the client had got the story straight ahead of time.
